Lebo’s Story

Lebogang Morgan lives for creating beautiful things and has a keen eye for fashion. From early childhood, she would play dress-up with her sister, redesigning and adding details on almost all the clothing that her mother bought.

After graduating from Tshwane University of Technology to pursue a career in fashion design, she moved to Cape Town to gain hands-on experience, working at top fashion houses like Blue Jean Traders, Foschini, Bride & Co and Earth Child, while always remaining focused on developing her abilities and honing her craft.

After the birth of her children, she started her own business and launched her first collection, called Skirtaholic, at the Khayelitsha Fashion Week where it received rave reviews. She took advantage of the launch success and began her journey to developing her label, Modice Creation, which was launched with a fresh new collection called, Linen Closet. She uses top quality linen in pastel colours paired with detailed Shweshwe and African wax print. Add to that finishing touches of hand-embroidery done by Uvuyo, a ladies’ community project based in Kayamandi, and the end result is a collection of joyful dresses – each one unique. True to her label and the vision of her business, Lebo is a classic example of a woman following her dreams.

Available for 3-18 month olds, this collection brings a unique African print to life in various children’s baby grows, dresses and nappy cover sets, head pieces, sun hats, bibs and booties.

Available for 2-7 yr olds, this collection of linen garments each have a hand stitched motif by Uvuyo, making each one unique. These items include dresses, tops and shorts (girls), shirts and shorts (boys) and linen jumpsuits (unisex).

Available for 3-18 month olds, and 2-7 yr olds, this collection uses traditionally designed fabric to create unique outfits that include dress and nappy cover sets, headbands and essential dresses.

The Shweshwe and African Print Collection items can be combined into gift sets for the perfect present. Contact us to create your own unique gift set that will match what you are looking for.

Using the Shweshwe and African Print fabrics, Modice Creation had created a Collection of hand stitched, machine washable fabric necklaces for ladies that are perfect to add flair and dynamic colour to any outfit.

Lebogang’s love for design and children has fuelled the development of Thunga Nam, meaning ‘sew with me’. Children love to create their own outfits and Thunga Nam offers children’s parties and holiday craft clubs that are not only heaps of fun, but also educational, giving children the tools to create their own tutu’s or learn to sew their own creations.
