Lebo’s Story
Lebogang Morgan lives for creating beautiful things and has a keen eye for fashion. From early childhood, she would play dress-up with her sister, redesigning and adding details on almost all the clothing that her mother bought.
After graduating from Tshwane University of Technology to pursue a career in fashion design, she moved to Cape Town to gain hands-on experience, working at top fashion houses like Blue Jean Traders, Foschini, Bride & Co and Earth Child, while always remaining focused on developing her abilities and honing her craft.
After the birth of her children, she started her own business and launched her first collection, called Skirtaholic, at the Khayelitsha Fashion Week where it received rave reviews. She took advantage of the launch success and began her journey to developing her label, Modice Creation, which was launched with a fresh new collection called, Linen Closet. She uses top quality linen in pastel colours paired with detailed Shweshwe and African wax print. Add to that finishing touches of hand-embroidery done by Uvuyo, a ladies’ community project based in Kayamandi, and the end result is a collection of joyful dresses – each one unique. True to her label and the vision of her business, Lebo is a classic example of a woman following her dreams.
